The California Academic Decathlon (CAD) is proud to introduce its first-ever state-wide Discord server, designed to enhance teamsmanship and build a stronger sense of community among decathletes. This platform will serve as a central hub for real-time announcements, competition scores and updates, as well as opportunities to connect with fellow decathletes from schools across California.
By joining the Discord server, you’ll have the chance to:
- Stay informed with up-to-the-minute announcements and key competition updates.
- Build connections and share experiences with decathletes from other schools.
- Engage in meaningful discussions, celebrate achievements, and foster camaraderie.
How to Join:
- You must be a decathlete competing at the State Championship in Santa Clara.
- To access the server, click the link below
- Complete the registration form by:
- Enter your last name according to your CAD Round 3 team roster
- Enter your Decathlete ID
- Enter your Decathlete online testing password
- Discord is case-sensitive; enter your password exactly as given
- Your account will be verified within 24 hours to allow full access to the server!
To ensure decathletes have uninterrupted access to the server in time for the CAD State Competition, please complete the verification process by Monday, March 10th, 2025.
Discord Conduct Policy for CAD Teams
Participation in the team Discord server is a privilege that comes with the expectation of respectful and appropriate behavior. Any misconduct, including but not limited to harassment, inappropriate language, cheating, or violation of CAD’s code of conduct, may result in disciplinary actions. These actions could include the removal of the decathlete from the Discord server, disqualifying the individual decathlete, or, in severe cases, the entire team, based on the severity of the violation and at the discretion of CAD officials.
