2025 California Academic Decathlon State Championship – Overall Results

Santa Clara, California – March 26, 2025 – El Camino Real Charter High School, located in
Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, secured its third consecutive title at the 2025 California
Academic Decathlon State Championship. The competition, held from March 20 – 23, 2025, at
the Santa Clara Marriott, saw El Camino Real dominate, clinching the top spot and continuing
California’s 21-year streak of national championships. The team will now represent California
at the United States Academic Decathlon National Competition, which takes place in Des
Moines, Iowa, from May 1 – 3, 2025.


In addition to El Camino Real, several other California teams will advance to the national
stage. Granada Hills Charter High School (Los Angeles), Mark Keppel High School
(Alhambra), Alhambra High School (Alhambra), and Verdugo Hills High School (Tujunga)
will join El Camino Real at the in-person competition in Des Moines.


Meanwhile, Chaffey High School (Ontario), Hallmark Academy (Sanger), and University High
School (Fresno)
will represent California in the online United States Academic Decathlon
National Competition.


The California Academic Decathlon Association also extends congratulations to the following
Division State Champions: Division 2: El Rancho High School (Pico Rivera), Division 3:
Beverly Hills High School (Beverly Hills), and Division 4: Vanden High School (Fairfield)
